Legal
Privacy policy
FarView is operated by [VUELO legal entity name, ABN]. This policy explains how we handle personal information.
What we collect
- From you: your name, email, phone number, location and time zone, contact preference, the property you’re interested in, and anything you tell us in your request.
- From payments: Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded, the amount and your email. We never receive your full card details.
- At the property: photographs, video and notes of the property. We aim to avoid capturing people, personal documents and identifying belongings, and follow any conditions set by the agent or occupant.
- On this website: basic technical logs kept by our website hosting provider. We don’t use advertising trackers. If you start a booking, your draft is saved only in your own browser until you send it.
How we use it
To arrange and carry out your viewing, contact the agent or owner about access, take payment, deliver your viewing, respond to questions, and meet our legal obligations. We tell the agent only what’s needed to arrange access, such as that we are attending on behalf of a client and, if they require it, your name.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t pass your details to agents, sellers, utility providers or marketers for their own purposes.
Where it’s stored
- Booking requests: our website hosting provider.
- Payments: Stripe.
- Viewing media: a private cloud storage service, accessible only through signed links that expire.
- Email: [email provider].
Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. [Confirm provider regions.]
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed for tax and legal purposes [e.g. 5 years]. We delete viewing media [90 days] after delivery unless you ask us to keep it longer.
Access and correction
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@getfarview.au.
Complaints
If you have a concern, contact us first and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
